The SAYA-505 is a 55" no-till drill built by Tar River Implements for food plotters and small acreage managers. With 7 double-disc openers at 7.5" spacing and front cup/rear cup seed metering, it delivers true no-till capability in a compact, affordable package. The updated 2024 model features 10 significant improvements: the painted stainless hopper is now 50% thicker (upgraded from 22ga to 16ga), all hardware is stainless steel, carriage bolts replace standard bolts on the hopper/frame assembly for a stronger hold, and the hitch blocks are now welded Cat 1&2 for universal compatibility. Tar River also added metal bearing caps (replacing plastic), longer adjustment rods for additional depth control, powder coating on all easily corroded plated parts, rubber hold-down straps, a punched scraper plate for better seed coverage, and a laser-cut metal logo. At 1,050 lbs and 30 HP minimum, it pairs well with compact utility tractors and delivers years of corrosion-resistant, low-maintenance service.
